Evelyn Adlam is a British citizen born in Kampala, Uganda, and a member of the well-known Kibuka-Musoke family. She completed her education at Makerere University, Uganda’s premier academic institution, before Idi Amin’s regime forced her into exile to the United Kingdom. Whilst in London, UK, she studied for post-graduate qualifications in Economics and Human Resources. Evelyn’s firsthand experience of the horrors under Amin’s rule fuels her captivating fiction novel Dreams of Freedom, which is loosely based on true events. Now residing in London, she enjoys a fulfilling life with her husband Ian. In addition to their properties in the UK, they also owned holiday homes abroad in the USA and Spain. Her personal story of survival and resilience, which greatly influenced the writing of the book, is a testament to the human spirit.
